Vodka is a neutral distilled beverage, generally without distinctive aroma, colour or flavour. Vodka is a colourless liquid that originated in Russia in the 14th century. Vodka is referred to from the word Vodka (meaning water in Slavic languages). It is usually distilled from barley, corn, wheat, rye, herbs, figs or potatoes. Vodka, being a pure distilled drink, has a neutral taste, distinguishing it from other alcoholic beverages. It is one of the drinks with the highest alcoholic content in the world, around 40%.
