This wine was made from grapes entirely from the A-rated vineyards of Quinta da Romaneira, located in the heart of the Douro region.
Grape varieties: Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca and Tinta Barroca
The grapes were crushed using traditional treading and vinified in stainless steel lagares. The fermentation temperature ranged between 25 and 28 degrees centigrade.
Oak barrels or vats.
This wine results from a blend produced through quite elegant wines aged in casks/balseiros for about five years. It has a bright and elegant red colour resulting from the reduced contact between the skins and the pulp during fermentation. On the nose is more complex than the ruby, with aromas of fresh fruit and a touch of raspberry. On the palate is slightly sweet, fruity and rich.
Alcohol - 19,5%.
