Soalheiro Primeiras Vinhas is a wine that, as its name indicates, uses grapes hand-picked from old vineyards with over 40 years of existence, also called the first vineyards.
After pressing and before temperature controlled fermentation, the must was decanted for 48 hours. Fermentation takes place essentially in stainless steel vats at a very low temperature (only 15% of the total volume is fermented in oak barrels) and the fine sediments are kept until the beginning of May.
This wine is based on the concepts of organic farming, protecting the ecosystem and fostering biodiversity and environmental sustainability. Soalheiro Primeiras Vinhas 2019 is always a less exuberant wine than "normal" Soalheiro, but with enormous purity and an excellent balance between body and acidity. A vibrant, incisive, crystalline wine, very elegant and precise, perfect for the table.
Soalheiro Primeiras Vinhas is a wine that, as the name suggests uses in the production grapes harvested manually from old vines with more than 40 years of existence, also called the first vines.
